Video Intern

Scope:

Under general direction, performs field-based and in house video production including (but not limited to) Camera operation, editing, motion graphics, writing, producing and other related duties as assigned.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

(This position may not include all of the listed duties, nor do all of the listed examples include all tasks which may be found in this classification.)

Editing –
• Performs video post-production tasks (includes reviewing footage, making editorial decisions, tape logging, rough cuts, audio adjustment, color correction, final editing using Final Cut Pro software)
• Utilizes computer graphics and special effects for video post-production in accordance with the overall production concepts;
• Compresses video projects for output;
• Makes video products available in a variety of formats;
• Coordinates uploading of footage via Springboard. 
• Other editing/post production tasks as needed

 

Studio Production –
• Works in collaboration with other production staff to produce a variety of video products for CraveOnline.com and its affiliates.
• Performs general studio productions; operation of small multi-camera studio as well as operation of cameras/sound and lighting equipment during off site shoots.
•  Transports and sets up lighting and audio equipment as required; provides limited troubleshooting and maintenance of field production equipment

 

Producing –
• May be asked to contribute and assist with producing projects. 
• Skills that may be utilized are; assisting with drafting one sheets of ideas, writing concepts/scripts, assisting with preliminary casting, talent/crew organization, resource management, location scouting, etc.

 

Qualifications:

Must be adept in:
Apple Final Cut Pro
Adobe After Effects
Adobe Photoshop
Mac computer software (including word programs, Safari and email programs)
